Michael E. Allex, AIA

Principal – Rike Ogden Figueroa Allex Architects, Inc.


Mr. Allex’s 23 years of architectural experience include educational facilities, religious facilities, city halls, day care centers, residential design, restaurants, multi-screen movie theaters, industrial facilities, commercial remodeling, and leasing finish-out. In 1988, he was a student member of the American Institute of Architects’ Regional Urban Development Assistance Team (RUDAT) studying the Rio Grande Valley.
Mr. Allex is has been a principal of ROFA Architects for 15 years. In that capacity, Mr. Allex has managed projects for Diocese of Brownsville, Harlingen CISD, Brownsville ISD, The Diocese of Brownsville, The City of La Feria, First Community Bank, and The City of Harlingen. He has been instrumental in production of construction documents for projects at the Marine Military Academy, Texas A&M University’s Colonias Community Centers, the Padre Island Brewing Company and the Ronald McDonald House.
Mr. Allex is past treasurer of the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce V.I.P. Club and is a 1995 graduate of Leadership Harlingen. He is a past President for the Lower Rio Grande Valley Chapter of The American Institute of Architects and is a past Chairman of the Jackson Street Jubilee – Harlingen’s annual street festival. He is past District Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America. He currently sits on two boards for the City of Harlingen, Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals and Planning and Zoning.
